For our fun and safety minded people, your knowledge and skills help keep camp safe so that it can be fun.  Many of these roles provide consistency in our procedures, programming and leadership through mid-level management of staff and supervision to key areas of camp.  Coming in with experience is helpful and a teachable spirit is necessary as you apply your knowledge to the camp setting.

FIRST AID CONSULTANTS (FAC)

  1. Age 21+ preferred;  Valid driver’s license required 
  2. Minimum of 2nd year nursing student; RN preferred
  3. Assess health needs of campers
  4. Keep accurate records of forms and paperwork
  5. Daily medication distribution to campers
  6. Keep First Aid Station clean and welcoming
  7. Other programmatic duties as needed

WATERFRONT DIRECTOR (WFD)

  1. Certified lifeguard required, with waterfront component preferred
  2. Supervise and schedule lifeguard chores and shifts
  3. Maintenance and general upkeep of pool, lake, pool bathhouse, and related facilities
  4. Lifeguard
  5. Instruct campers in archery
  6. Other programmatic help as needed

RECREATION DIRECTORS (Rec Dec)

  1. Age 21+ preferred; valid driver’s license required
  2. Facilitate all adventure activities (climbing wall, low and high challenge course)
  3. Plan, set up, tear down and lead field games and night games  
  4. Lead silly songs at campfire
  5. Other programmatic help as assigned

SIT LEADER (Staff-in-training)

  1. Minimum age of 20 preferred; returning staff helpful
  2. Supervise, disciple, discipline and schedule SITs
  3. Plan, lead and facilitate daily SIT Bible study
  4. Communication and schedule with many departments
  5. Other programmatic duties as needed 

DAY CAMP SPD (Summer Program Director)

  1. Assist Day Camp Director
  2. Secure support staff help for weekly activities
  3. Teach curriculum lessons
  4. Gather supplies needed for activities
  5. Supervise Day Camp Staff and SITs
  6. Coordinate meals for Day Camp Staff
